For our clients in the sheetrock industry, managing the weight of gypsum in shipping is a common shipping challenge. Often, our clients choose to ship by rail in an open-top spine car in order to lower their shipping costs. But, preventing in-transit damage on rail can be complicated, and many of our clients come to DPC looking for an effective way to protect their sheetrock in this application setting.

Here is an example of a customized load securement solution we have created for shipping gypsum by rail.

We'll position dunnage air bags and honeycomb panels in the center of your car to reduce product shifting in transit. And since the sheetrock bundles ride against the spine of the railcar, honeycomb strips are positioned to the spine, preventing damage to the sheetrock.

Success Stories

We have created successful load securement solutions for transporting gypsum for such industry leading clients as Pabco Gypsum and American Gypsum.
